ISTD Imperial Ballet Classes
Imperial Ballet is an art form created by the movement of the human body. It is theatrical, performed on a stage to an audience utilizing costumes, scenic design and lighting. It can tell a story or express an emotion. Ballet can be magical, exciting and thought provoking. Imperial Ballet is considered the foundation of all dance disciplines as it focuses on using precise and highly formalised set steps and gestures improving posture, correct alignment, core strength, balance, co-ordination, flexibility, and style. Ballet requires patience and determination but can transform pupils into beautiful, graceful dancers. The ISTD syllabus provides a sense of achievement for both children and adults dancing either for recreation or to pursue a career in Dance and Performing Arts. People always say you can tell a Ballet dancer just from the way they stand!
GSTARS offers Ballet classes from 2 years upwards with its Melody Movement and Fairy Footsteps pre-school scheme concentrating on introducing students to the world of imagination, story telling, creativity and self-expression through movement. As Students grow and develop, for those pupils interested in pursuing more formal careers in dance GSTARS also provides Non-Syllabus Ballet Classes alongside their weekly timetabled Syllabus class to help them progress further with their Ballet and to help them achieve their higher goals.
Ballet Classes are held in Royston and Little Chishill
