My daughter Isabel has been attending classes at GSTARS for two years. The communication at GSTARS is excellent, and following my enquiry email, Miss Georgina selected the correct class for Isabel, and she started straightaway. From the very start, Isabel loved the lessons – she really enjoys learning the dances, and all the teachers are extremely welcoming, relaxed and great fun. The classes have a lovely, friendly atmosphere, and the students and the teachers get to know each other very quickly.
Since starting with just the Modern class, Isabel now also attends Acro, Ballet and Contemporary classes. Her confidence has increased hugely since starting GSTARS and it is great to see her so passionate about dancing. The GSTARS ‘Rhythm of Life’ show at the Cambridge Junction in July 2016 was an amazing experience and a great finale to the year; as a parent it was brilliant to see how much she had learned, and how well they all performed together. I also had a fantastic time helping behind the scenes, and got to meet many of the other mothers who also volunteered. GSTARS has made a big difference to Isabel, and I would highly recommend them to everyone!
My daughter, who is now 10, has been coming to GSTARS since she was 3 years old. It has played such a positive role in our lives in so many ways. All of the dance teachers are dynamic, warm, and talented: they make an effort to get to know your child individually and they genuinely care about their students.
Something that has always really impressed me about GSTARS is that it is all-inclusive and caters to everyone. The older students, both boys and girls, are positive role models and mentor the younger children. There is an overall collective team spirit that is inspiring and motivating. During her years studying modern, tap and ballet at GSTARS, my daughter has learned technique, discipline, and poise and has been given many excellent opportunities, including performing at the Royal Albert Hall. Her confidence has soared and she has developed what I’m certain will be a life long passion for dance. But what I cherish above all perhaps are the amazing, long-lasting friendships she has developed through the GSTARS family – friendships that have continued into middle school. Georgina Wootten is a dedicated and passionate principal and I can strongly recommend GSTARS to anyone as a friendly, fun, and exciting dance school!
We wanted our eldest to start a street dance class and almost four years ago we chose GSTARS. From the start it was clear how friendly and inclusive this dance school is. All pupils are encouraged to perform, regardless of ability. The opportunities that our son has been given have been incredible – he has danced at the O2 and the Royal Albert Hall. Amazing memories and what is most important is that during these big events I was confident he was happy, excited and being well looked after by the GSTARS family. It is clear how passionate Georgina is, not only about dance, but about the safety and wellbeing of her pupils. Our youngest starts his GSTARS journey today and I am so excited about watching him grow as a dancer, just like his big brother.
My three kids have been at GSTARS for 5 years, and they have loved every minute of it. There are so many different styles of dance classes, there is something for everyone. They have had so many great life experiences having performed at The Royal Albert Hall, British Formula 1 at Silverstone and the O2 Arena to name a few. They have met so many good friends and the atmosphere is that of a great big family. GSTARS is a very professional dance school, allowing the kids to develop their own styles whilst doing exams and competitions and the dance teachers are so friendly and welcoming to kids of all standards. We love GSTARS!!
Alice has attended ballet classes at GSTARS for the past 4 years. She loves attending and we have noticed how much she has grown as a person. Alice has made some lovely friends and her confidence has grown enormously. She has gone from the shy girl at the back of the class to a graceful dancer that enjoys dancing in front of others. Alice has developed a real passion for dance, a beautiful posture and increased flexibility and strength whilst keeping fit and active. GSTARS has provided a platform to take part in festivals, shows, dancing at the Royal Albert Hall and many other unforgettable memories to treasure. The opportunities for exam work have also increased Alice's confidence. GSTARS and the staff there give children a nurturing and supportive environment in which they can grow and develop in so many ways.
